Knitting for Beginners

Students will develop and practice the necessary vocabulary and skills to complete a simple hand-knitted project. They will learn how to cast on stitches, work the garter stitch, bind off stitches and where necessary, basic sewing skills to finish their original project. Students can follow a sample or use their creativity and imagination to develop their own unique project.

Please bring the following supplies on the first day of class:

10 inches long U.S. knitting needles size 9 or size 10

6 - 8oz of 4 ply yarn - color of your choice

A bag for your knitting
