Acrylic Painting for Intermediates

Students will continue building on previous knowledge of using acrylic paints. They will learn to use glazes, how to make various textures, composition and continue learning how to mix colors. Students will be given encouragement, constructive criticism, and technical advice while learning painting vocabulary.

Materials: Artist quality Liquatex acrylic set, two round Taklon brushes # 1 & # 7, and a flat #3/4" brush, palette, a natural sponge, container for water, paper towels, B4 pencil, scrap paper for sketching and either heavy drawing or watercolor paper (pad, 11"x15"), canvas paper, or canvas.
