Become a Trained Cybersecurity Professional in Six Months or Less

Our six-month, 300-course-hour online Cybersecurity Boot Camp will help you earn the skills and credentials required to enter the cybersecurity workforce and pass the CompTIA Security+ certification exam—no previous experience is needed. The cybersecurity course curriculum features 17 engaging lessons across four key sections. Each section includes hands-on activities and a project that allows you to implement and test your newly acquired skills. You will begin by gaining an in-depth introduction to the fundamentals of cybersecurity and an exploration of the main cybersecurity certifications, job titles, and career opportunities. Next, you will identify security threats and vulnerabilities and learn how to manage and prevent attacks. You will also review essential security operation principles and technologies, concepts, and operating systems. In addition, you will also gain access to the Infosec Skills platform (six-month access) to leverage their extensive knowledge base to further your training.

By the end of the cybersecurity training, you will fully understand what role in cybersecurity best aligns with your career goals and become prepared to navigate challenging job interview questions. Your capstone project and the final course lessons will help you better find your first cybersecurity position and finalize your professional portfolio.

Upon successful boot camp completion, you will be provided with a voucher for the Security+ certification exam, which covers the cost to sit for the certifying exam upon eligibility.

Made in NY Media Academy Music Production Bootcamp offered by QCC

TRAINING DESCRIPTION

Queensborough Community College, in partnership with the NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) and the Mayor's Office for Media and Entertainment (MOME), will offer the Made in NY Media Academy Music Production Bootcamp Training Program. The Music Production Bootcamp is an innovative training opportunity that combines music production techniques with hands-on experience in recording studio environments. It equips participants with the skills needed for careers in the music and recording industries. Graduates can pursue employment in commercial recording studios, live recording venues, radio and broadcast networks, and with manufacturers serving the music production field.

The main objective of the Music Production Bootcamp Training Program is to provide participants entry into music production employment opportunities in NYC by providing a strong foundation in the Audio Recording Arts and Sciences. Participants gain practical skills in music production, mixing, sound design, and more — using up-to-date, industry-

standard software. Additionally, participants will be trained on synthesizers for music production, learning to operate an electronic music synthesizer, integrate custom sounds into music composition, and create melodies and rhythms. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from Queensborough Community College, as well as Pro Tools 101 certification.

PARTICIPANT ELIGIBILITY

Participants must:

· Be a NYC resident

· Be 18+ years old

· Be authorized to work in the U.S.

· Be Selective Service compliant (if applicable)

· Have high school diploma or HSE

· Have annual income less than $60,000 (if currently employed)

· Provide documentation for all eligibility criteria

· Show commitment to working in the music production field

· Show commitment to traveling to Queensborough Community College for in-person training

· Commitment to training schedule, sessions on 2 weekday evenings, and a session on Saturday (No more than 3 unexcused absences)

CASE MANAGEMENT & SUPPORT

Music Production Certificate Program

The Music Production Certificate program is an innovative program integrating music production and recording studio training that prepares students for jobs in the music and recording industries. Graduates of the program can look forward to career opportunities at commercial recording and production facilities, on-site recording venues, radio and broadcast networks, and manufacturers who serve the music production and recording industries.

The Music Production Certificate Program is designed to give a comprehensive introduction to the Audio Recording Arts and Sciences. In this comprehensive 10-week course, you will learn practical skills in music production, mixing, sound design and more, using the most up-to-date and relevant industry-standard software. In addition to learning these skills, an industry recognized Pro Tools 101 course is included in the program. Music Production classes are taught in the Music department's technology laboratories and multi-track recording studios.

A strong grasp of English grammar conventions, such as spelling, punctuation, and composition, is also recommended.

To meet the eligibility requirements to sit for the NALA Certified Paralegal exam, you must meet one of the following requirements: You must have 60 semester hours, of which at least 15 hours* (225 clock hours) are from paralegal studies or hold an associate's degree in paralegal studies, or a bachelor's degree in any field, or have seven years of experience as a legal assistant under the supervision of a member of the Bar. Please review the exam requirements before enrolling in this course.

Certification Requirements:

If you plan to pursue the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) Certified Paralegal (CP) credential, you must meet one of the NALA Certification Eligibility Requirements.
