Online Programs – Student Complaint Process
As a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA), Queensborough Community College, of the City University of New York, offers online programs that must comply with accepted standards of quality and value.
Under NC-SARA rules, students have the right to lodge a complaint or grievance if the students’ experience in an online program does not conform to the one that the college has claimed to offer. Queensborough Community College wants to ensure that all student complaints are addressed fairly and resolved promptly.
Please email your complaints or concerns to the Dean for Institutional Effectiveness, acorradetti@qcc.cuny.edu, in the Office of Academic Affairs. If you feel your concerns have not been adequately addressed through Academic Affairs, you may then appeal to the City University of New York (CUNY) at

If you are not satisfied with the CUNY resolution, you may appeal to the State Portal Entity – for CUNY institutions, this is NYSED (New York State Education Department). Under SARA policies, the State Portal Entity has the obligation to investigate and resolve student complaints. NYSED would only address your complaint after you have exhausted the internal Queensborough and CUNY processes. To submit a complaint to NYSED, please click here and follow the directions.
