How do I gain access to CUNYfirst?

To claim your CUNYfirst account,

  1. Go to https://home.cunyfirst.cuny.edu
  2. Click “First Time Users” line at bottom of page
  3. Enter your first name, last name, date of birth, and last four digits of your social security number
  4. Click, “OK”
  5. Select your Challenge Questions and Answers (you need five)
  6. Choose a password
  7. Click “OK”

What do I do if I forget my password?

To recover your CUNYfirst password,

  1. Go to https://home.cunyfirst.cuny.edu
  2. Click on the "Forgot Your Password?" link
  3. Enter the Username or Empl ID (CUNYFirst ID Number)
  4. Provide the answer to the challenge questions that you created
  5. Enter a new password (Click the "Password Policy" link to check requirements)
  6. Once you receieve the "Your Password Has Been Changed Successfully!" page you can try loggin in with your new credientials
