  • Discussed the Fresh Start program: Lisandra provided a link to a description after a student referenced a desire to apply for the program. Various committee members
  • Discussed privacy issues regarding student health information. Lisandra shared that prior to the COVID pandemic, both the health services department and counselling department would review appeals with relevant health issues. For administrative reasons, this process was halted during COVID and the student appeals are now sent directly to the CCS. Various members agreed that the committee feels uncomfortable with the uniquely sensitive nature of the materials that students share and that the committee members are not qualified to evaluate the merits of students physical and mental health issues. Therefore, the committee is interested in reconsidering and addressing this issue with both the counselling and health services departments. Bill Ryan agreed to reach out to health services, while Gina Capozzoli agreed to discuss the reasons for the change with the counselling department.

The committee set a tentative date of 3/14/25 for next meeting.
