SAFE HAVEN FOR STUDENTS

Students: for your safety and awareness, you are required to take a short on-line course called HAVEN.

This program will explain:

  1. Sexual harassment and sexual assault,
  2. How to help yourself and your friends,
  3. Where to go if you or a friend has been a victim,
  4. What it means to consent,
  5. And many other important topics.

We encourage you to read the materials included in the program or to stop by QCC’s Counseling Center for further confidential resources. The Counseling Center is located in the Library Building, Room 422, (718) 631-6370.

As a CUNY student, you deserve the opportunity to live, learn and work without experiencing sexual harassment, gender-based harassment or sexual violence. CUNY has adopted a new policy covering sexual harassment and sexual assault, which takes effect January 1, 2015. Under the policy, colleges provide educational programs covering sexual harassment, gender-based harassment and sexual violence to incoming students.
