What is STEP?
STEP stands for Science and Technology Entry Program. This pre-collegiate program, which is funded by the New York State Department of Education, seeks to strengthen students’ skills in science and math and motivate them to enroll in college and pursue careers in science, technology and the licensed professions. STEP is offered to students in grades 7-12. The STEP program has been successfully running at QCC since 2006.
Our 2016-17 STEP program will begin on OCTOBER 15. We will be registering students and beginning the program on the same day.
A parent or guardian must accompany the student to the registration. Registration should only take a few minutes, depending on if this is your first time with us or if you have any questions about the program.
The morning workshops will begin at 10:00 am. Also, please be aware that we have moved our offices to Medical Arts Bldg Room 207.
If you would like to come a little early to register or to talk with us, you may. One of us should be here by 9:30.
*** Please note as of 10/1/16 all of our workshops have available seating. ***
For registration, please bring the following items with you:
- A copy of your most recent report card
- Your completed application form
- A parent or guardian must accompany STEP students to complete the registration process.
