Michael Birnbaum is the assistant technical director/College Laboratory Technicisn for the Speech, Communications and Theater Department. Michael graduated with a Bachloers degree in Entertainment Technology, from NYC Collrge of Technology in May of 2013.
He has been working in the technical entertainment for almost a decade.

Michael’s experience ranges from working as the technical director for the Provocateur nightclub located in Manhattans meatpacking district, working as an over-hire stagehand for Local IATSE One, and Local IATSE Four, working as chief spot light operator for Madinna’s Rebel Hearts Tour Rehearsals at Nassau Coliseum,  lighting console programmer for comedian Jerry Scienfekd, and touring with the Australian Rock group “Goodbyemotel,” as lighting designer, and technical director. 

Michael continues to do freelance entertainment tech work in NYC, while being a valuable member of the speech communication and Theatre Arts Department.
