Biology - Student Learning Center
The Biology Division of the Campus Learning Center supports three departments:
Tutoring for courses in the areas listed above is done on a walk-in basis. Students are also welcome to examine the human anatomy models stored at the center. The CLC’s computer lab also maintains CDs that provide additional information and images to enrich the learning experience. The CLC also has links to support information for Anatomy & Physiology courses online.
Visit the Schedules link to view the current Fall 2009 Biology tutoring schedule. In order to accommodate the large number of student requests for tutoring in Anatomy and Physiology courses, the CLC continues to hire and train tutors throughout the semester. Schedules are therefore updated as needed – stop in and join our study groups!
The Massage Therapy program, the only A.A.S. degree program available at a higher educational setting within the greater New York metropolitan area, was developed to meet the growing interest and ever-increasing demand for licensed professional therapists. The curriculum offers a strong foundation in the biological sciences, together with a broad base of general education in the liberal arts and sciences.
The Associate Degree Nurse is provided with a foundation in general education in the humanities, and biological and social sciences. The curriculum contains an equitable distribution between the general education and nursing science components.
The CLC also offers tutoring for Nursing students. Stop in at the CLC for the current Fall 2009 Nursing tutoring schedule.
