Queensborough Community College operated a Hurricane Sandy collection center during the days and weeks following the storm. The College collected enough coats, cleaning supplies, toiletries, diapers, flashlights, etc. to fill several dozen boxes. The donations are to be packed up and shipped to relief agencies.
Food donations can be still be delivered to QCC's Science Cafe, on the first floor of the Science Building, through Friday, November 16. The food drive has been organized by Metropolitan Food Service.
You can also help QCC students impacted by Sandy by sending a text.
Text a gift of $10 via smart phone to “80077” and enter the message code “QCC” in the text box. A reply message will ask you to text “YES” to verify that you want to make the donation. Contributions will be billed to your mobile phone bill. Message and data rates will apply.
