Maurizio Santoro, Associate Professor of Italian

Coordinator of the Italian Program

Laurea-degree (M.A.) University of Naples, Italy; M.A. Teacher’s College, Columbia University;
M. Phil., Ph.D CUNY Graduate University Center. His major research interest is to investigate how learners acquire a second or a foreign language. He has published several articles and a book on L2 acquisition of Italian by Anglophone speakers. He is currently preparing a monograph on the development of Italian accusative and dative clitics in interlanguage grammars.
