FLL Faculty Biography

Lorena Ellis, Professor of German and Spanish, Coordinator of the German Program, co-editor of the Revista Virtual. B.A., University of São Paulo, Brazil; M.A., and Ph.D. in German Literature; M.A. Spanish and Portuguese, New York University. For the last 6 years she has been an officer of the AATG NY Metropolitan Chapter, and of the CUNY Council of Foreign Language Study. She has published articles in refereed journals and two books: Brecht's Reception in Brazil, 1995, and her translation of Imperialismo Sedutor (The Seduction of Brazil) by Antonio Pedro Tota, Texas University Press, 2009. Area of Specialization: Brechtian and missionary theater in Brazil.
