The College invites applications for the position of Vice President for Student Affairs & Enrollment Management. Reporting to the President, the Vice President is responsible for leadership in all areas under the jurisdiction of the Office of Student Affairs, providing the vision for the programs that will enhance the student experience at the College, overseeing strategic enrollment and retention planning reflecting that vision, and supervising staff responsible for implementing those plans.

The Vice President serves as a member of the President's Cabinet. He/she incorporates innovative practices into plans and strategies and collaborates with executives from other Colleges and the University, and outside organizations as needed, to develop appropriate policy and acquire resources. He/she is a dynamic leader of an executive team responsible for personnel, budget, operations, and communications in the Student Affairs division.

The Department of Student Affairs comprises the following offices:  Academy Advisement, Admissions & Recruitment, Career Services, Center for International Affairs, Immigration, and Study Abroad, College Discovery, College Opportunity to Prepare for Employment (COPE), Collegiate Science & Technology Entry Program (CSTEP), Counseling, Health Services, Military & Veterans' Services, Services for Students with Disabilities, Single Stop, Student Activities, Student Financial Services, Student Judicial Affairs/Student Conduct, and Testing Services. The Vice President also serves as Chairperson of the Department of Student Affairs and serves as a member of the College Personnel & Budget Committee.

Minimum Qualifications:

This position is in CUNY's Executive Compensation Plan.  All executive positions require a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience.  Additional qualifications are defined below by the College.

Other Qualifications:

The position requires an incumbent with extensive experience in supervising student affairs departments. The successful candidate must demonstrate a record of excellence in creative leadership and outstanding management of a diverse staff and functions in the areas of student affairs in a large, complex college with organizational characteristics and a student body similar to Queensborough Community College. He/she must be a team leader and collaborator, and will demonstrate a proven record of successful strategies in the areas of enrollment management, retention of students, and student life. He/she must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills, and be able to demonstrate evidence of developing excellent interpersonal relationships with students, faculty, staff, and administrators of a college. The successful candidate must possess at least eight (8) years' experience in a position with similar functions. An earned degree above the baccalaureate is required.


The position is within CUNY Executive Compensation Plan, offers a competitive salary (commensurate with qualifications and experience) and benefits package, including annual leave, health insurance, and retirement benefits.
