Faculty Vacancy Announcement:

Performs teaching and related faculty functions in area(s) of expertise.

Specific duties: A strong commitment to teaching a broad range of traditional courses in the Mechanical Engineering Technology curriculum. Courses include, but are not limited to: Engineering Graphics, Applied Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Material Science, Machine Design, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Computer Aided Design (AutoCAD, Solidworks), Manufacturing Methods, Computer Numerical Control and 3D Printing.

Highly desirable candidates will have a strong background in traditional machining and manufacturing processes, brazing and welding, CNC manufacturing, heat treatment, tool and die design, non-destructive testing, quality control and inspection, prototyping and 3D Printing and the use of NC software (MasterCAM).

Additional duties include the development of laboratories and laboratory activities; advising students; supervising student clubs; participating in college and department committee work; recruitment activities; assessment activities intended to maintain accreditation; and faculty development activities. Some evening and weekend hours may be required.  


Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise, and the ability to teach successfully.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline; industrial experience in a manufacturing environment; teaching experience at the undergraduate level.  


 Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
