There are a variety of ways to volunteer: · Assigned tutors are matched with a child for a 90 minute weekly session. · Partner tutors share the responsibility of tutoring with a friend. · Team tutors share a tutoring commitment with a group of co-workers. · On-call tutors fill in for tutors who must cancel a session.

|About the Company:||Two Together is a city-wide program providing free individualized tutoring to over 100 schoolchildren, ages 8-18, annually. Children who score below grade level in reading and math, or have other learning needs, are eligible for the program. They represent a wide variety of nationalities and ethnic backgrounds. Referrals come from schools, parents, synagogues, churches, community agencies and word-of-mouth. Trained volunteers supervised by learning specialists assist children. Staff works closely with parents toward educational goals. Workshops for parents, cultural experiences and educational projects reinforce the program.|
