Description: Small Long Island firm (Manhasset) seeks immediate part-time (with gradual transition to full-time) and long term paralegal/legal assistant.

Special Skills & Requirements Preferably with law office experience handling civil litigation matters, with an emphasis on plaintiff's personal injury but also commercial litigation, family law, and real estate/estate litigation. Must be able to work both in groups and independently. Tasks range from reception and client intakes to word processing, billing, mailing, correspondence, office errands, ordering supplies, file maintenance, dealing with clients, attorneys and courts, calendering/adjournments and preparation of many types of legal documents, agreements, and litigation papers from pleadings to disclosures and motions from office forms to new matters. About the Company: Michael is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, and California. He is also admitted in the Federal District Courts of the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, and the New Jersey Federal District Court. He has previously worked at one of Long Island's largest litigation firms. Michael has experience in many fields, involving both litigation and transactional matters, which has provided him with outstanding foresight and ability to isolate the primary issues in a matter. Michael also serves as a small claims arbitrator following his appointment by the Nassau County Bar Association.
