Junior Property Accountant

Description: Multistate commercial real estate & property management group is looking for a Junior Property Accountant. The ideal professional will have a background including: accounting degree and/or practical experience in commercial property management accounting, confident Excel skills, knowledgeable in QuickBooks and possess the ability to work independently in a small office environment. Applicants with a demonstrated ability to transition software systems are preferred as we prepare for the inevitable transition from QuickBooks to an industry software system to be determined. Job Summary Duties include the daily tasks of A/R and A/P while including maintenance of rent roll in Argus, monthly balance sheet and income statement preparation, managing the budget & CAM process, preparing quarterly investor financials and assisting with acquisitions/ dispositions as directed. As circumstances require, answering tenant and vendor inquiries and either addressing them directly or facilitating contact to the appropriate Property Manager.

Special Skills & Requirements Key Responsibilities • Create, send and review monthly tenant invoices and record payments of same. • Scan, code and enter vendor payables for payment by Treasurer/Partner. • Manage ACH origination schedule for Vendor and Tenants. • Manage tenant related depreciation & amortization processes. • Call tenants for delinquent A/R and prepare monthly report for Treasurer. • Generate monthly management fee invoices and bill each property. • Prepare TI/Capital Tracking Documents and validate broker lease commissions. • Manage the process of annual budget preparation and quarterly variance reporting. • Assist in preparation of quarterly debt compliance • Manage annual CAM reconciliations Requirements • Must be able to pass a background check and be bonded. • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance. • Working knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel and Microsoft applications. • Ability to work autonomously. • Organizational, verbal and written communication skills are required.
