Development Assistant

Description: • Support the Senior Manager for Development and Development Officer by organizing files, reviewing literature, conducting historical research in hard files, mailing out donor correspondence and providing event logistics support; • Conduct prospective donor research through funding databases and internet search engines; • Assist in effective customer/donor service by sending written/mail correspondence.

Salary $12 Per Hour, 8-10 Hours Per Week

Special Skills & Requirements • Have demonstrated interest in non-profit development; • Pursing a course of studies or have interest in public administration, non-profit management, or Asian studies; • Have experience with basic research projects and can compile information concisely; • Have fluency in the full suite of Microsoft Office programs. (Experience with InDesign and WordPress a plus.); • Have experience with database programs, preferably customer relationship database programs; • Have strong oral and interpersonal skills; • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work, both research and administrative; • Ability to take on and appropriately prioritize a variety of responsibilities simultaneously with attention to project deadlines; • A positive attitude and willingness to do a variety of tasks related to the functionality of the organization.
