Description: The Office of Senator Leroy Comrie is seeking motivated volunteer interns with a sincere interest in public service. The internship is an excellent opportunity to learn about the inside workings of city government and gain hands on experience working in politics. Interns will assist with a variety of special projects and general office duties: • Answering phones and greeting office guests • Addressing constituent concerns • Maintaining the filing system and contact lists • Drafting correspondences to the community • Assisting with legislative and historical research • Drafting memorandums on possible legislation • Representing the Senator at events • Staffing the office around the district • Developing event flyers • Organizing the photo archive
