Technology Security Intern

Description: The International Securities Exchange is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic technology intern that is passionate about protecting technology assets and resources through the use of modern-day security tools. The candidate must possess a “roll up your sleeves” approach and winning attitude. Primary responsibilities in this position revolve around providing support (hardware and software) to the technology teams and automation (through programming languages such as python, ruby, shell etc.) amongst other things. The candidate must be open and willing to learn as well as be able to thrive in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and assignments. Job Requirements • Candidate must be majoring in either Computer Science or Cyber Security • Programming knowledge required: Must show experience using Git and Python/Ruby, bash/PowerShell • Must be able to demonstrate commitment to automation (through projects, prior programming experience etc.) • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and perform duties with high level of accuracy; Must be able to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing tasks/demands • Troubleshoot, diagnose, document, and resolve level 1 technical issues ranging from software to hardware. • Perform frequent health checks utilizing our internal tools (i.e. SIEM) and contribute to their development • Maintain the integrity of infrastructure resources through upgrades, support, and new technology. • Provide support to technology teams in maintaining latest patches and virus definitions • Strong customer service and communication skills. • Working knowledge of MS Office (creating spreadsheets, updating documentation, navigating Outlook) • Assist Information Security group with documentation and procedural updates. • Other duties as assigned.
