Special Skills & Requirements The skill sets needed would be: - knowledge of medical terminology or ability to learn - strong excel skills or ability to learn - ability to work independently - detail-oriented - ability to meet deadlines and complete projects The type of work this intern would be responsible for: - Working by month, categorize each child's illness into pre-determined subspecialties. Some research may need to be done to understand which the best fit by utilizing the internet and tools provided by National - Once approved by supervisor, the intern will create a report based off current one used by Medical Outreach dept. These will also be created for each quarter and fiscal year and kept in a binder - The intern will then work with Supervisor to identify trends, including in/de-creases of referrals by hospitals, referral sources, departments and illnesses. - Using data we have already collected and some some that will be conducted, create guides to assigned hospitals with specific information related to key contacts including, department, population served, any applicable information and contact information.
