Daneek Miller won election to the New York City Council from the 27th Council  District (Southeast Queens) with 96.9% of the vote and the support of 20,333 voters on Tuesday, November 5, 2013.  This followed his success in the September Democratic Primary against five opponents.  Throughout, Daneek also enjoyed the full support of the incumbent, Council Member Leroy Comrie.
