Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Art History Concentration (new)

Advisement Notes

  • Starting in the Fall students will see a specific concentration in Art History under VAPA in the catalog. No additional courses or requirements will be added to the VAPA list of options, but only the possibility of aggregating 21-23 credits in Art History to form a nominal concentration in Art History distinct from a concentration in Studio Arts, or some amalgam of both areas.
  • If students are interested in that option they should be encouraged to take the two-semester sequence of ARTH-101/202 rather than the one-semester Survey of Art (ARTH-110) starting their first semester; after that let the winds of intellectual curiosity and serendipity blow them where it may.
  • Students should be advised to take a Foreign Language for category 2A.
