Presentation: Poetry reading
Abstract: This presentation will be a poetry reading of Li Bai's very famous "Thoughts on a Still Night." After the reading, there will be an analysis of the poem and a brief seminar enlightening the audience on this Poet Immortal's background.

Presentation: A recipe
Abstract: In this presentation, we will demonstrate how to prepare the Korean dish called “Bi Bim Bob.” We will do the presentation in Chinese. At the end of the demonstration, we will offer the dish to the audience.

Presentation: PowerPoint, Beijing: An Experience in Language and Culture
Abstract: For hundreds of years, Chinese language and culture developed with very little outside influence, particularly very little western influence. This isolation has enabled a colorful language and culture to grow, one that is unique to China. My presentation will be image-driven and will highlight various cultural and historical aspects of Beijing, the modern capital of the People’s Republic of China. It will be based on a two week trip to Beijing. I will discuss my impressions of the city and its people and culture, and my experiences communicating in Mandarin in various situations.

Abstract: This presentation, given in Mandarin, is about the Taiwanese model/actor’s life and works in the entertainment industry. I will be discussing how he was discovered and got his start, the schools he went to, a few of his favorite things and hobbies. I will also name a few other famous actresses he has worked with.

Abstract: France is a very touristic place. Its culture, language and monuments have a big influence on the country’s tourism. One cannot go to France without visiting Paris where one of the most visited monument in is the Eiffel Tower which will be the subject of my presentation.

Abstract: The presentation will be done with Tracy Wong. After introducing herself and her hobbies, Student will talk about some important German cities and their main attractions. Her main focus will be on German bier, its various types and how, and where it is produced and served.Main events where bier is consumed will be described.

Student will introduce herself and will present some information on the country in general and main attractions of important German cities.She will concentrate on chocolate production, its history, variety and most important kinds and packaging.She will also describe holidays in which chocolate plays an important role.

Abstract: The medieval and modern city of Nürnberg in south Germany is the topic of this presentation. It will describe the history of the area as well as the ethnic population and culture.Additionally it will show contemporary attractions such as activities in the Nürburgring, Toy Fair, and renowned Christmas Fair.

Students presented each a case of Christians saving Jews during the Holocaust. PowerPoint was used as a background to the presentations. Abraham Davidov was awarded an Honor Certificate.

Topic: L’insalata caprese: una ricetta
Abstract: The student will show the audience, and explain in Italian, how to prepare an insalata caprese. This recipe contains 7 ingredients: mozzarella, basil, salt, tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, and Italian bread. This dish is not only fragrant and colorful, but it is delicious as well. Abstract: The student will demonstrate how to prepare his mother’s Russian potato salad, called “Olivye”. The student will also discuss the origin of the dish.
