Orange County Community College defeated QCC 70-53 to take both ends of a double-header. Orange led virtually the entire game, with the exception of several seconds in the first half. In the second half, the Colts lead hit 22, as several Colts were in double-digits.
The Tigers fell behind 6-0, before rallying to take a 20-19 lead on a shot by Taequann Washington. The Tigers defense couldn’t keep up, as Orange killed QCC from downtown, ending the half on a 24-6 run.
The Colts kept the Tigers at bay in the second half, as QCC never got closer than 13. Although Queensborough scored a paltry 53 points, 11 different Tigers found their way into the scoring column, in addition to 10 Colts combining for their 70 points.
