In a game of runs, Queensborough could not catch up to Dutchess CC in a 68-50 home loss. Dutchess started the game on a 7-0 run, but point guard Anthony Saladarriaga sparked QCC to a 10-0 run, to take the lead.
Queensborough could not stop Jonathan Gonzalez who caught fire from downtown, hitting several threes in front of the Tigers bench. The Tigers found themselves on the wrong side of a 25-5 run and were stunned to be down 32-15, before going on a 7-0 run of their own. At halftime Dutchess led 37-22.
QCC never got closer than 13 as Kinson Absolu joined his teammate Gonzalez in raining threes. Gonzalez finished with 21 points, Ryan Gunsch finished with 16 and Absolu added 10.
