To start, the faculty initiates the grant development process by contacting the Office of Grants/Sponsored Programs (OGSP) to conduct a customized search for grant funding sources. Pivot is a web-based discovery and workflow tool that integrates a comprehensive source of worldwide funding opportunities with the most comprehensive collection of scholar profiles into a single, user-friendly solution. GrantForward is a search engine for institutions and individuals. Their flexible search filters and specialized search options make finding grants easier. GrantForward Researcher Profiles allow faculty to showcase their research accomplishments and interests, allowing them to collaborate with other academics and obtain grant suggestions. The City University of New York (CUNY)
Professional Staff Congress - The City University of New York (PSC-CUNY)
- The PSC-CUNY Research Award Program was established as a major vehicle to encourage and support faculty research. PSC-CUNY seeks to enhance the University's role as a research institution, further its faculty's professional growth and development, and support established and junior scholars.
- PSC-CUNY Adjunct Professional Development Grants of up to $3,000 are available to adjunct faculty teaching six or more classroom contact hours in the semester and to continuing education teachers who are teaching a minimum of 20 hours per week. Funding can be used for research, courses, conferences, field studies, and other activities to enhance your professional development.
- CUNY HEO-CLT Professional Development Fund is for the Higher Education Officers, College Laboratory Technicians, CLIP Instructors, CUNY Start Instructors, Non-Teaching Adjuncts, and EOC Lecturers. Funds can be used for conferences, workshops, training, certificate programs, a semester at an accredited college or university, or research projects.
Queensborough Community College
- Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) Pedagogy Research Challenge Awards supports research projects on community college pedagogy, calling for studies of various interventions that can impact student learning outcomes.
