CUNYAC - Recognizing that the health and safety of our students and broader communities is our top priority, and in response to the coronavirus pandemic, the City University of New York Athletic Conference has made the difficult decision to cancel all spring regular season practices, competitions, and championships through the remainder of the 2019-20 academic year.
This comes on the heels of all 25 CUNY institutions transitioning to semester-long distance learning. The NCAA has also announced the cancellation of all its remaining winter and spring championships.
While we recognize the deep disappointment that will be felt by our student-athletes, coaches, and communities, a continuation of the spring seasons is untenable.
This decision will be effective immediately.
