QPAC LIVE! Can be seen on Facebook (@visitQPAC) and on YouTube (Queensborough Performing Arts Center) except where indicated.

QPAC LIVE! is a virtual entertainment streaming arts broadcast. As a means of celebrating cultural diversity, performing artists featured in the weekly live program, reflect NYC's multi-ethnic communities. Through moderated performances, sessions and workshops QPAC LIVE! offers the global community - free of charge - a dynamic, creative atmosphere. QPAC's outreach on social media makes the arts accessible to one of its largest and most diverse audiences! Beginning in the fall, the broadcast will provide QCC's students a platform to showcase not only their musical talents, but also allow for live debates, poetry readings, discourse on academic research projects, recognition of academic milestones, photography, etc. QPAC LIVE! can be seen on Facebook & YouTube. QPAC LIVE! is a program of the Queensborough Performing Arts Center.

The Sinatra Songbook with Nicolas King
Showbiz veteran Nicolas King takes on “The Chairman of the Board” with this thrilling musical tribute. King has been performing since the age of 4 and was first seen on Broadway in Beauty & The Beast, A Thousand Clowns and Hollywood Arms all before age 12. With over two dozen national TV commercials, NYC cabaret and world-wide live performances, Nicolas takes your requests and participates in a & live Q&A. Accompanying Nicolas is Mike Renzi.

QCC Student Film Premiere
On Tuesday, September 1, at 7pm EDT, QPAC Live! will host a streaming broadcast of short documentary, comedy and horror films by QCC's Video Production students, showcasing the talent and creativity of these accomplished student directors. The program of short films will be followed by interviews with the filmmakers, conducted by QPAC's Executive & Artistic Director Susan Agin, and presiding faculty member Daniel McKleinfeld of the Speech & Theatre Department. Get to know these artistic students before they win their Oscars!

Steven Brinberg is the premier Barbra Streisand impressionist, performing his incredible show Simply Barbra, to international acclaim both on stage and on television. Singer, dancer and actor Ben Vereen is an entertainment legend. From humble beginnings, he graduated from the High School of Performing Arts, made his theater debut at 18 and gained prominence for his performances in the original Broadway productions of Jesus Christ Superstar, for which he received a Tony Award nomination, and Pippin for which he won the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical. His film credits include Funny Lady and All That Jazz and starred in numerous television programs including Star Trek: The Next Generation, The Nanny, Law & Order and is well known for the role of “Chicken” George Moore in Alex Haley's landmark TV miniseries Roots for which he received an Emmy nomination. Information For QCC Faculty

QPAC has taken steps toward a variety of live-streaming options. One of our most successful initiatives is QPAC LIVE!, an entertainment live-streaming broadcast. While the medium has changed, the mission remains the same: connecting communities through live experiences.

We are anxious to start working with you, in celebrating our students' academic accomplishments and talents. The QPAC LIVE! broadcast allows us to effectively showcase the work of our students, and the work of our distinguished faculty. The following are only some of the ways to use this live broadcast:

  • Oral presentations
  • Artwork/photography presentations
  • Musical presentations
  • Choreography projects
  • Mathematical problems of the week

QPAC LIVE! provides a public forum to highlight pedagogy, QCC, its students and faculty. Now, we can be seen by one of the largest and most diverse audiences. Right now, QPAC LIVE! can be seen on Facebook & YouTube on Fridays, at 4pm EST. Suggestions for the broadcast may be sent to boxoffice@qcc.cuny.edu. It is not too soon to begin to make suggestions for the fall. Considering that we will broadcast once a week, we have already begun to keep a schedule of programming requests.
