Steering Committee Monthly Reports

May 2019

The Steering Committee reports that the vote to amend the QCC Governance Plan resulted in a change to the chairing of Academic Senate meetings. This change was necessary to be in compliance with Middle States standards. Thanks to all who voted and to the efforts of FEC in organizing and publicizing the process.

Today a vote on an email communications proposal will be brought to the floor. The Steering Committee thanks the Senate for its candid discussions on this matter.

We acknowledge new senators who begin their service today: Professor Rezan Akpinar, Department of Health, Physical Education and Dance; Dr. Trikartikaningsih Byas, Associate Professor, Department of English; Dr. Jeff Jankowski, Associate Professor, Department of Social Sciences; Dr. Zivah Perel Katz, Associate Professor, Department of English; Dr. Jean Murley, Associate Professor, Department of English; Professor Barbara Rome, Associate Professor, Department of Nursing; Dr. Vazgen Shekoyan, Associate Professor, Department of Physics; and Dr. Kersha Smith, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Sciences.
