NYC Go Purple Day for Domestic Violence Awareness Month

The Title IX Department is providing this information for those who are interested from the Mayor’s Office to End Domestic and Gender-Based Violence :

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM). During DVAM, events are held around the city to raise awareness about domestic violence, recognize survivors, celebrate advocates and providers serving survivors, and share critical information about resources. On October 21st, we will host the 8th annual NYC Go Purple Day and encourage you and your staff and partners to wear purple and post your pictures on social media using the hashtags #DVAM2021 #ENDGBV #AwarenessHelpHope #GoPurple #NYCGoPurple #DVAM.
