QCC Office of Career Services City Year Employer Information Session

On Wednesday, Mar 15, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 01:30 PM

This Student Event is for Students, Faculty and Staff

Please join the Office of Career Services and representatives from City Year to learn about full-time and most recently new part-time opportunities. City Year helps students and schools succeed, while preparing the next generation of civically engaged leaders who can work across lines of difference. In partnership with teachers and schools, City Year AmeriCorps members cultivate learning environments where all students can build on their strengths, fully engage in their learning, and experience success—helping them progress on their journey towards bright futures.

Diverse teams of City Year AmeriCorps members serve in schools full time as student success coaches, helping students cultivate social, emotional and academic skills, whether that’s mastering fractions or learning to work in teams—skills that are important in school and in life. Through their work in schools and communities, City Year AmeriCorps members not only make a difference in the lives of students they serve, but also acquire valuable skills that prepare them to become the next generation of leaders.

Here are some social media/title blurb examples:

"Graduation on your horizon? Why not spend next year helping a student reach their dreams? Learn more about joining City Year!"

"Gain valuable skills and give back to the community by taking a meaningful gap year with City Year."

"Consider taking a gap year in social justice with City Year."
