This Student Event is for Students, Faculty and Staff

3Q is a collection of essays reflecting on the unexpected happenings of the pandemic and its impact on queer lives.

Queerness is not a monolith. Students, faculty and staff in educational institutions have a unique perspective in this global crisis, as many have been forced to leave campuses and return home to families during this time. Learning has shifted online, to platforms and formats that many, including teachers, are unfamiliar with. We hope to show how these members of our QCC family have persevered through extraordinary times to advance our QCC community. With a vaccine rollout currently in motion, how did Queer people in the Queensborough Community College fare in the face of Covid-19?

We are pleased to bring you a special event to present these essays with readings, community and some much needed levity during pride month, on the heels of an especially challenging time for us all. The selections will either be read by the authors or designated student readers. Following the event, the collection of essays will also be held online for the community to read.

Please join us for a celebration of these special voices! It's gonna be a kiki, darlings!
