For the first time in a decade, the Art and Photography Department and the QCC Art Gallery have mounted a student show in two consecutive years. The turnout last year was great, and because of the success at all levels of the exhibition (catalogue, installation, quality and community attendance) the number of students wanting to participate and take part is such a celebration has augmented. This year, Photography and Digital Design are strong as always. We are also seeing a stronger representation of our students in the fields of Painting, Drawing and Sculpture. It is through the combination of traditional art forms with the latest bit technologies that our students get a strong foundation in the Arts, valuable tools and creative methodologies, as well as a sensible and intellectual approach to being in the world. And let’s not deny it: we also try to have a lot of fun.
