Course Outline and Requirements                   Attendance:

Attendance is required.

BASIC IDEA: Excessive absences (more than 15%) will result in a  F as a final grade.  More than two weeks (week= 7 consecutive days) in this course is excessive absences.  To be clear if you are not active for 7  consecutive days that is an absence.  If you are not active for two such periods then you have excessive absence and may be given a final grade of F.  If you are not active for another period of 7  consecutive days you will definitely be assigned an F as a final grade.

Active: To be active means that you present evidence of doing the required activities for the class: attending class, speaking in class, doing the readings, submitting the written assignments.

TRADITIONAL CLASSES: Attendance is taken by having students sign or turn in  an attendance sheet that contains a question related to the topics of the class.

EXCUSED ABSENCES:  Absences may be excused if the student sends an email to the instructor with an explanation of the absence and the exact dates of those absences.

HOLIDAYS: There are no observances of Holidays or HOLY DAYS in the construction of the online course. Any person may take off on any day for any reason. The class goes on. Observe the due dates. Plan accordingly if you are taking certain days off for whatever reasons. REMEMBER : You must INTERACT in the discussions and so you must post on at least THREE different days each week.
