Personnel Coordinator
Overview: | They formulate organizations strategy and policy for employee hiring criteria, compensation, employee benefits, equal employment opportunity & union-management relations. Decisions are made based upon knowledge of government regulation, labor contract terms and company objectives. |

Duties: | They study legislation and collective bargaining contracts to assess industry trends in all areas of human resource management. They decide upon compensation and benefits programs, work conditions, employee grievance channel and procedures for labor-management communications. They consult with legal staff to assure that all personnel programs are in compliance with federal and state law. They design study and procedures to assess employee satisfaction with quality of work life in the organization in order to detect potential problems. |

Courses in collective bargaining, labor law, organizational behavior, psychology, statistics and computer applications are essential. |
