Freshman Applicants
Option 1:
Freshman applicants who plan to apply only to QCC can submit their documents directly to the Office of Admissions. Please see the list of required documents below:

Official high school transcript and diploma or National/government examinations or certifications. Please review the list of required secondary school credentials accepted by all CUNY schools.
Only official documents will be accepted. All submitted documents must be stamped and dated by the issuing schools or examination boards. If an official document is written in a language other than English, it must be translated first and submitted along with the official version in its original language. Please use the following document translation guide to prepare all document translations.

Admissions staff will conduct an initial review of your documents to determine if they meet CUNY’s guidelines for admissions. If admitted, additional information will be provided via email regarding the next steps in the enrollment process. Our initial review can take between 10 - 15 business days.
On a case by case basis, freshman applicants will be instructed to obtaining a course-by-course evaluation for documents that cannot be evaluated by the QCC International Admissions Team. Evaluations from the agencies listed here will be accepted by the College. Submitting a course-by-course evaluation directly to QCC will expedite the processing of your admissions application.
In cases where documents cannot be evaluated at QCC, and students do not submit a course-by-course evaluation, students will be instructed to submit their documents directly to CUNY’s University Application Processing Center (UAPC). The UAPC will conduct a review and applicants will be notified as to whether additional documents are needed to complete the process. Documents submitted to the UAPC may take up to 3 – 5 months for a complete review.
Option 2:
Freshmen Applicants who are planning to apply to multiple CUNY Schools:
Submit proof of graduation from all accredited secondary school or a foreign equivalent directly to CUNY’s University Admissions Processing Center. Documents should be submitted to the applicable address below:

Documents that appear to not meet CUNY’s admissions guidelines will be forwarded to the University Application Processing Center (UAPC) for further review. Applicants will be notified by the UAPC if additional documents are required to complete the process. Documents submitted to the UAPC can take up to 3 to 5 months for a complete review.
Option 2:
Transfer Applicants who plan to apply to multiple CUNY schools must submit the following documents directly to CUNY’s University Application Processing Center (UAPC):
- Proof of graduation from all accredited secondary schools or a foreign equivalent
- An official University transcript

Conditional Acceptance:
What is conditional admission for English proficiency?
Conditional admission at Queensborough Community College is granted to international students who do not meet the college's English language proficiency requirement. It is designed for students who have not taken the TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo or another accepted English language proficiency exam. Conditional admission is also available for students who have taken a language test but do not have scores that meet the minimum admission requirements. Students who are offered conditional admission will be required to complete QCC's ESL Program - Port of Entry Program, also known as POE for one or two semesters, depending on English language abilities. Upon successful completion of the POE Program, students will receive a TOEFL waiver to attend QCC for their selected degree program.
How to apply for conditional admission?
To apply for conditional admission, complete the admissions online application, submit all required high school and university (for transfer students) documents, and submit scores from an accepted English language proficiency test. If your scores do not meet the minimum requirements or if you do not submit scores, we will automatically consider you for conditional admission.

*Students who enroll in the Port of Entry Program with an F1 visa are required to enroll full-time. Total number of hours required per semester is 198 hours for the duration of one semester. Students will only be permitted to register for college level courses once they successfully complete and pass the TOEFL class which will grant students a TOEFL waiver.
