In 1976 Mr. Fuchs started and was the President of Retrieval Masters Creditors Bureau Inc, one of the first billing and collection agencies to specialize in processing and managing small dollar amount consumer accounts in very large volume. The company developed proprietary software to run on IBM 360/370 mainframes for cyclical billing, transaction processing and reporting. By 1980 the company was handling a million active records per month. From its inception the company used state-of-the-art office automation technology such as the first automatic programmable typewriters.  In 1980 the company made a major transition from a batch-oriented processing system to a fully online transaction system through the purchase of a Data General Eclipse minicomputer.

Subsequently, Mr. Fuchs founded MiCAD Systems Inc., a system integrator of computer aided design and facilities management (CAD/FM) systems. These systems were marketed to AEC (Architectural, Engineering & Construction) firms, Fortune 1000 corporations and government agencies to plan and manage the occupancy and utilization of office facilities. Its clients included Nabisco, Pepsico, Northeast Utilities, ADT, the GSA, and many others. The company’s systems combined graphic information from digital drawing plans with databases for lease management, corporate furnishing standards, equipment inventory and organizational space usage.

In January 1988 Mr. Fuchs started Digital Pre-Press Inc. One of the first companies to implement desktop publishing and Postscript imaging technology in the United States, it quickly evolved into a full-service pre-press facility. By 1993 the company was running three shifts, 24 hours a day, providing page layout, scanning, color separation, and film output services primarily to magazine and book publishers such as Random House, Times Mirror Magazines, CMP Publishing, IEEE Magazines, HBO, Miller Freeman and others.  In 1996 Digital Pre-Press Inc. was acquired by World Color Press.

In 1998 Mr. Fuchs was recruited by AT&T Business Services (ABS) to be one of the first Internet Sales Specialists in the Global Markets division, which is comprised of AT&T’s largest customers. In this position he originated and developed the single largest volume of IP and private line business in ABS in both 2000 and 2001, representing billings of over $180 million.
