Christopher Skelly

 

Christopher Skelly is a professional educator and software developer. He has been offering technical training in C/C++/Java/XML and other subjects for 20 years and has delivered over 350 full week language seminars, always to the highest acclaim. Chris formed Insight Resource Inc. in 1988 as a forum to develop training for IT professionals. He has developed more than 20 full week seminars complete with laboratories and workshops. His lectures are highly interactive, insightful, humorous and very focused on communicating essential and valuable information.

 

Mr. Skelly has focused on the question “What is Great Teaching?” for 20 years, and has written “Mining for Nuggets, a Pattern Language for Learners and Teachers” in an attempt to consolidate his insights. He is also the co-developer of “KO-PILOT for WordPerfect and Lotus 1-2-3,” software which Brit Hume called “the best add-ins ever written.”

 

Chris served on the ANSI C Standards Committee from 1985-1995 and was instrumental in helping to convene the ANSI C++ Standards Committee in 1989. He is a former Systems Analyst of Rogers & Wells, the international Park Avenue law firm. Christopher lives in Sleepy Hollow, New York, loves his wife Staci and two cats, as well as fishing, tennis, oil painting, flute playing, astronomy, gardening and stamp collecting.
