Our Staff and Advisors
The Center for XML and Web Services Technologies was conceived and created by world-class XML and Web Services subject matter experts who are distinguished by their contributions in creating, deploying, and documenting these technologies.They are:

 

  Ira Hayes Fuchs Full Biography
Executive Director of the Center. Over the last twenty-five years Mr. Fuchs has started and built three successful computer technology companies. In addition to XML and Web Services technologies, Mr. Fuchs has substantial expertise in optical networking and building large scale IP wide area networks. He regularly consults and publishes on the subjects of XML and Web Services technologies.
   
Sal Mangano Full Biography
Program Director of the Center and member of the advisory board. Mr. Mangano is the author of "XSLT Cookbook" published by O'Reilly. In addition to XSLT, Sal has in depth experience in XML Schema, SOAP, and OO Design and Development. He is presently a Vice President at a major financial institution and was previously a senior consultant at SIAC.
   
Christopher Skelly Full Biography
Laboratory Director of the Center and member of the advisory board, Mr. Skelly is President and CEO of Insight Resource Inc., a training and consulting firm specializing in Java/XML/C/C++/OO and DP education. Mr. Skelly is a master of “Technical Entertainment” and has been delivering top-flight technical courses for 20 years. He has been a guest Faculty member and speaker at 40 international software conferences, and is the author of “Mining for Nuggets, a Pattern Language for Learners and Teachers.”
   
Adam Greissman Full Biography
Member the Advisory Board. Mr. Greissman is the founder of Udico, developer of TierBroker, an XML based integration broker deployed by financial services companies.  Previously he was with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was the technical Director and System Architect for global projects in North America, Europe and Asia.
   
John Schlesinger Full Biography
Technology Director of the Center. Mr. Schlesinger is a highly regarded authority on XML technologies and is presently the Director of Solutions at iWay Software where he is the lead architect for customer deployments and product design. Previously he was a principal of SysCore Solutions, one of the foremost XML technology consultancies serving the financial services sector.
   
Sig Handelman Full Biography
Special Projects Director and Member of the Advisory Board. Mr. Handelman worked in IBM's Research Division for almost 28 years. He is a highly regarded expert in B2B technologies including EDI, ebXML and Web Services, and was the Co-chair of the XML/EDI Workgroup responsible for the B2B technology initiatives of the Automotive Industry Action Group.
 
   
Yefim Natis
Member of the Center’s Advisory Board. He is a Vice President and Gartner Distinguished Analyst in Gartner Research. Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Natis worked at Magna Software, where he was Director of Software Architecture. His experience also includes IT architecture and IT management positions at Hogan Systems and Citigroup. Mr. Natis has 25 years of experience in enterprise IT.
   
Jean-Jacques Dubray Full Biography
Member of the Center’s Advisory Board. Mr. Dubray is presently a Technical Architect at Attachmate where he is in charge of developing a new line of enterprise infrastructure software. Prior, he was the Chief Architect at Eigner. Mr. Dubray is an invited expert at the W3C WS Choreography Working Committee and editor of the ebXML BPSS 2.0 specification.
   
Dan Stone Full Biography
Member of the Advisory Board. Dan Stone has been an information technology professional for over 20 years, specializing in investment banking technology since 1992.  Recently he served as Global Head of Infrastructure at Barclays Capital, following his tenure there as Global Head of Collateralized Finance Technology.  Before joining Barclays Capital, Dan worked at Lehman Brothers where he ran equity derivatives and fixed income application teams in NY and Asia before becoming Asia Regional CIO in 1999.
   
Kurt Cagle Full Biography
Member of the Center's Advisory Board. Kurt Cagle is a renowned expert in the XML disciplines, having written fifteen books (with three more on the way) and several dozen articles on XML-based technologies, Web Sevices, and the IT industry in general, as well as worked with Microsoft and others to develop White Papers on these technologies. Mr. Cagle lives in Seattle, Washington with his wife and two daughters.
   
David RR Webber Full Biography
Member of the Center's Advisory Board. David Webber is a renowned authority and developer of numerous XML technologies and products including 'VisualScript XML' by Smartdraw.com. He is presently chairing the OASIS Technical Committee developing Content Assembly Mechanism specifications as a component of next generation eBusiness infrastructure, and leading a sub-team for the OASIS Business-Centric Methodology Technical Committee.
   
  Stuart Asser Full Biography 
Member of the Center's Advisory Board. Stuart Asser is a Professor and Chairman of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology Department at Queensborough Community College of City University of New York. Prior to coming to QCC, Professor Asser spent 21years as an electrical engineer at Grumman at Grumman Corporation where he worked on the Lunar Module/F14 and Apollo 13 spacecraft. He is the co-author of “Microcomputer Theory and Servicing” and “Mastering Electricity” among other books.
