Mr. Henry Jacobowitz, Esq.

Henry Jacobowiz was born in Czechoslovakia in 1929. Deported during the war, he was liberated on April 29, 1945. He arrived in the United States on December 20, 1946, sponsored as an orphan by the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration (UNRRA). He arrived one month before he turned 18. From the ages of 18 to 20, Henry attended Roosvelt High School in the Bronx.

In 1949, working as a shipping clerk during the day, Henry started attending the City College of New York at night. In 1950, he was drafted. He continued his education by taking coorespondence courses through the Unviersity of Wisconsin. Discharged from the Army in 1952, Henry returned to CCNY, completing an account degree in September on 1954. That same month, he began law school at the University of Arizona. He graduated in 1957 and moved to Phoenix, where he began a commercial practice. He was recently recognized for serving 50 years before the Bar. Since retiring, Henry has taught business law at Phoenix Community College and works as a volunteer offering legal services to senior citizens.
