Dr. Berkhout received his Doctorate in Composition in 2003 at Northwestern University where he was awarded the Faricy Award for Creative Music. He’s also an active cellist, having received his Masters Degree in Cello Performance from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Berkhout was awarded 2nd Prize in the 2006 Gustav Mahler Composition Contest for his work Eclipse, which was premiered July 27th in Viktring, Austria by the Janus Ensemble Vienna. In 2004 he was the winner of the Omaha Symphony Guild’s International Composition Contest for his work REM, a Lucid Dream Fantasy for solo cello and two chamber orchestras, which was premiered by the Omaha Symphony in 2005. His work Zapstar was one of six works selected from over 230 submissions for the ALEA III 2003 international Composers Contest and his composition Visual Sound, which had its premier in Amsterdam, was nominated for the Gaudeamus Prize 2000.
Twice he was selected as a semi-finalist for the prestigious Raymond and Beverly Sackler Music Composition Prize. He has received attention at many national and international festivals including June in Buffalo, Music Ninety-Eight in Cincinnati, the Gaudeamus Festival in Amsterdam, and the New Music Symposium 2001 at the Domaine Forget in Canada.

Joanne Chang, the New York-based classical pianist has performed extensively worldwide on five continents as a recitalist, soloist with orchestras, and in various chamber music ensembles. In 1995, she gave her recital debut in Australia, and subsequently performed at Die Stiftung Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival in Germany, and at Carnegie Weill Hall in New York City. Highlights of performances include Fazioli sponsored solo tours in Taipei, Tainan, Hsinchu and Kaohsiung of Taiwan; Bern and Olten in Switzerland; QPAC and Ian Hager Recital Halls in Brisbane Australia; Colden Auditorium at Queens College; Hunziker Theatre at William Paterson University; Merkin Hall sponsored by Artist's International Inc.; Symphony Space, and Steinway Hall in New York; and other cities like Las Vegas, Los Angeles in USA; and Johannesburg and Durban in South Africa. Dr. Chang has also established herself as an interdisciplinary researcher (music and psychology). She has several publications in scientific peer-reviewed journals such as Psychology of Music and Medical Problems for Performing Artists. Joanne received her undergraduate degree from Queensland Conservatorium of Griffith University in Australia, her Master's degree from the Manhattan School of Music, and her Doctoral degree from Columbia University, Her teachers include Tai-Cheng Chen, Constance Keene, Karl-Heinz Kammerling, Valida Rassoulova and Lev Vlassenko. Under the tutelage of Natasha Vlassenko and Mykola Suk from Russia, she is in the musical lineage of legendary composers and pianists Rachmaninoff and Liszt.

Baritone Steven Dahlke received his Master of Music degree from Manhattan School of Music where he was a student of Adele Addison, and his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from University of Southern California where he was a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Pi Kappa Lambda. Dr. Dahlke has been a featured soloist with Seattle Symphony Pops, Oregon Symphony Orchestra, Portland Baroque Orchestra, Portland Youth Philharmonic, Portland Opera Players, Oregon Repertory Singers, and the Aspen Music Festival, where he was a vocal fellow. As a music director and conductor of musical theatre, Dr. Dahlke has been active on the West Coast, most recently conducting performances of Rodgers and Hammerstein's CINDERELLA at Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre in North Idaho, and THE ROAR OF THE GREASEPAINT... at Downey Civic Light Opera in Los Angeles. Dr. Dahlke has served on the music faculties of Fullerton College, Orange County High School of the Arts!, and the Music Institute of Los Angeles in Southern California; Lewis and Clark College, Linfield College, and Portland State University in Oregon; and has been an active clinician and adjudicator for the National Association of Teachers of Singing, and Oregon Music Teachers' Association. His vocal students have gone on to successful graduate study, careers in music education, and have performed in musicals on national tours and on Broadway.

Pianist Mirna Lekic has performed as a recitalist and chamber musician in the United States, Canada, England, France, and her native Bosnia, appearing in concert at Carnegie-Weill Hall, Symphony Space, and World Trade Center in New York, St Martin-In-The-Fields in London, and Bosniak Institute in Sarajevo, among others. Her playing has been praised for its "natural inventiveness and emotion (Zena 21) "appropriate stylistic sense", and for "eliciting [music's] haunting poetry" (The New York Concert Review), and her work has been recognized with several awards, including the New York Foundation for the Arts Artist Grant, Artists International Special Presentation Award, CUNY Music Fellowship, and Eastman and scholarships. Mirna holds a BM in Piano Performance from the Eastman School of Music and a MM from the Mannes College of Music, and is currently a doctoral candidate at the CUNY Graduate Center. She is active as a piano and music instructor in New York City, where she serves on the faculty of Queensborough Community College, CUNY.

Sally Shorrock, flute: Director and founder of The Canta Libre Chamber Ensemble. Ms Shorrock grew up in a musical family, her father being a jazz trumpet aficionado, as well as her uncle singing lead tenor with the New York City Opera. Ms. Shorrock teaches music in the honors program at St. Joseph’s College as well as formerly serving as director of the St. Joseph's College Council for the Arts. She has served on the faculty of the Long Island Conservatory and also directs and founded the Northport Arts Coalition Do-Ing Music chamber music concert series. Her musical passion is focused on the publicly and privately supported Canta Libre Chamber Ensemble, which she founded and directs. Her musical appearances include: The Music Festival of the Hamptons, Barge Music, Concerts at One at Trinity Church in Manhattan, Channel 21 Public Television, WLIU Public radio, WNYC Public radio, Lincoln Center's Rubinenstein Atrium, as well as appearances as soloist at Bard The New York Flute Club, The Illinois Philharmonic, Mannes College and at the CW. Post College summer music festival. After completing a Bachelor's Degree in at Gettysburg Ms. Shorrock completed a music degree at Stony Brook University under the tutelage of Samuel Baron, Carol Wincenc, Baril Nugent, Tara O'Connor and Judith Mendenhall and Trudy Kane. Her Master's Degree in Performance was granted by Purchase College Conservatory of Music.

David Taubman began his performing career at Carnegie Hall as a teen winner of the Young Artists Piano Showcase Auditions. Since then he has performed as recitalist, chamber musician and concerto soloist on some of New York's most prestigious platforms. Recent performances include recitals at Steinway Hall, The Beethoven Institute at Mannes College and concerts with the Metropolitan Choir Guild. David is currently pressing his Masters degree at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College CUNY.
