Hostos dominated the last ten and a half minutes, propelling the Caimans to a 77-61 win. With QCC down only 45-44 with under 11 minutes to play, Tyler Jenkins’ intended pass for Jermaine Lawrence was turned over, and led to an alley-oop. The deflated Tigers were outscored 30-17 after the Charles Jackson dunk, leading to the disappointing ending.

Hostos scored the first seven points, before QCC rallied to take leads of 15-14 and 17-16. The Caimans dominated the end of the first half, and took a 37-25 lead early in the second. The Tigers rallied to tie it at 42 with the power of Stephon Medard’s three-point play.

The Tigers had no answer for Hostos star Charles Jackson, who put the game away in the middle of an 8-0 run with an alley-oop to make it a double-digit game with 6:08 to go.
