In the first part of Queensborough’s Alumni Game, the Red Team beat the Blue Team 37-31, on the strength of six three-pointers. The Blue team jumped out to a 6-0 run, but a 9-2 run gave the red side the lead, and they would not trail again. Red led 19-11 before a 7-0 run by Blue cut the lead to one. Back to back threes pushed the lead back up to seven and Red poured it on, pushing the lead to double-digits, before winning by six, in a 20-minute game.

The two sides teamed up to take on the current Lady Tigers. The Old School jumped out to a 6-0 lead and led 13-4 before Jane Walsh hit a three for QCC’s first field goal nearly 10 minutes into the game. The teams went back and forth, and with the game tied at 20, the Old School went on a 9-3 run to end the half. Queensborough came back to tie the game at 42 when the perimeter shooting turned the game around.

Jaclyn Torres hit back-to-back threes and Latasha Harris knocked down a trifecta of her own to make it 51-42. Minutes later a three by Jane Walsh pushed the lead back up to nine. The clincher was a sort shot by Keyanna Jean-Louis which made it a double-digit game with under six minutes to go. QCC beat the Old School 71-63.
