The Lady Tigers came roaring back from a second-half deficit to beat Westchester 66-56. The two halves were very different, as the first saw a whopping 13 lead changes, as the teams went into halftime tied at 32, thanks to a buzzer-beater by Sabrina Rodriguez.
Latasha Harris gave QCC a 34-32 lead to the start the second half, but Westchester looked to take control with a 10-0 run, to give Westchester a 42-34 lead. Minutes later a Jessica Negron three put QCC down by seven, but it was the last high point for Westchester. Queensborough trailed 49-42, but a 14-0 run turned the game, as QCC went from being down seven, to up seven. This time there would be no more lead changes, as Queensborough won by 10.
Sabrina Rodriguez finished with 23 points, seven rebounds, five assists and four steals. Jaclyn Torres added 18 and Precious Latham contributed ten. Negron scored 17 for Westchester in the losing effort.
