Directed by Michael Cesarano

The QCC Department of Speech and Theatre is pleased to present Beyond Therapy. Faculty member Michael Cesarano directs a cast of QCC students in this 1981 Christopher Durang play.

Beyond Therapy, is a comedy and a singular love story. It is a tale of two unusual people who, aided by their dedicated therapists, strive to wrest happiness from an indifferent world. This is a story which will appeal to anyone who has ever taken the trouble to wonder why, with the millions of new therapists and social workers brandishing their advanced degrees, it seems that we remain no less screwed up than we were in earlier eras, and probably more so.

But let us make clear that Beyond Therapy was not written to ridicule and condemn practitioners of a noble and useful (in theory, at least) profession. This is a story of people, not of professions. We think you'll enjoy it. See you at the show!
