QCC trailed 56-55 with 4.4 seconds left, when Troy Singleton headed to the line for two free throws. After missing the first, Singleton tied the game, and Coachman's last second jumper missed, forcing the game into overtime.

Hostos led 61-60 with a minute left, when Carl Benjamin hit a crucial three-pointer to put the Tigers up by 2.

Queensborough clinched the game from the line, giving the Tigers a shot at their first CUNY championship victory since 2003.
