Tech Brian Doran

Ryan Nestor (1985) is a contemporary percussionist and educator based on Long Island, NY. Nestor currently holds the percussion fellowship with the Aspen Contemporary Ensemble (ACE) at the Aspen Summer Music Festival and recently completed a circuit of solo performances at universities in New York, Tennessee and Pennsylvania. He performed in Germany with the Stuttgart Chamber Chorus and was guest-artist faculty at the nief-norf summer festival.

Nestor earned a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of Kentucky and a Master's degree in Percussion Performance at Stony Brook University. He will begin a doctorate in Contemporary Music Performance at the Univesity of California San Diego this fall.

Mr. Jackson is also a sough after music education technology product specialist trainer with Sibelius, Dididesign, Korg-SoundTree, M-Audio, Native Instruments, and Propellerheads.

When Mr. Jackson is not teaching, he enjoys thinking about it.
