Even with the homecourt advantage in the CUNY Athletic Conference Tournament, the Queensborough Tigers were beaten soundly for a third time in the 2011-12 season by the Hostos Caimans, 84-66.

QCC jumped out to a 10-6 lead, due to six points by Stephon Medard. They did not maintain the lead for long, as Hostos went on a 9-0 run capped off by a put-back dunk by Charles Jackson, which led to Tiger coach Larry Dantzler calling for time. By that time Hostos had the momentum, and never relinquished the lead. Hostos led at halftime 46-28, led by 20 points from Jeremiah Brown, who hit all four of his three-point attempts.

The Caimans retained a double-digit lead for the entire second half, at times turning into a highlight reel of Caiman dunks. Jeremiah Brown would finish with 22 points, Charles Jackson added 18 and Maverick Hodge also finished in double-digits.

Queensborough’s Vincent Georges finished with a team-high 20 points, which would be the main factor in his being named to the CUNYAC/Con Edison All-Tournament Team.
